Trayne

Hi, I'm Liam, the creator of Trayne.

Hi, I'm Liam, the creator of Trayne.

I grew up in a house where pushing yourself wasn't optional. My dad was a coach, and my parents had me in sports for as long as I can remember.

When I was 18, my dad passed away. In 2022, I signed up for my first Ironman and raised $10,000 for the American Heart Association in his honor.

After that first finish line, I never really stopped. More Ironmans. Running races. Jiujitsu on the mats. Early mornings in the gym lifting with friends who pushed me harder than I'd ever push myself alone. Every sport taught me something different about my body, about consistency, and about how much of this comes down to simply showing up when it's hard.

The longer I did this, the more I actually understood how to train. Programming, progression, recovery, knowing when to push and when to back off. And the more obvious it became that most people never get to learn any of it. They download a plan built for someone else, frozen the day it's published. Then real life happens. Work runs late, a knee flares up, a trip comes up, motivation dips. The plan doesn't flex, so it breaks. Life is never static, but training plans almost always are.

While I was still in college, I got to work with AI startups in SF, right as the technology was breaking open, and I watched it change my own work from the inside. It went from autocomplete finishing my lines, to Cursor writing whole functions, to Claude Code building features alongside me, to running parallel agents that could each take on real work at once. Every step, the leverage compounded. Things that used to take days started taking minutes.

What if training worked the same way? Not another static PDF, but a coach that adapts day to day, reworks itself when your week falls apart, and answers the question you'd normally text someone at 9pm. Dynamic coaching that finally fits around real, messy, human lives. That's what Trayne became.

The deeper we went, the more convinced I got that this doesn't stop with individuals. The best coaches in the world are limited by hours, not knowledge. The same intelligence that adapts one person's plan can work across every athlete on a coach's roster, watching the data, catching what slips through the cracks, and giving coaches back their time and their attention. The same leverage I felt as a developer is the leverage every great coach should have.

And it's only getting more powerful. Wearables and the data they capture are growing exponentially. Every heartbeat, every night of sleep, every session is signal. Pointed in the right direction, that signal can catch injuries before they happen, push people safely closer to their limits, and help anyone get healthier and stronger than they thought they could.

That's the future we're building toward: a great coach in everyone's corner that never stops paying attention. We're just getting started, and we'd love for you to train with us.
